Knowledge GAPSS: Panel Discussion with Emerging Planning Leaders

Join us in the Planning Studio, Tory 3-57, on January 26, from 5-6 pm, for a panel discussion. The panel consists of three planners who recently graduated from the U of A and will be moderated by BA Planning student Mon Rosete.

The planners will be sharing their journey from graduation to their professional career, thoughts on the recent budget passed by City Council, their advice to students and more!

Participating planners include Kaelin Koufogiannakis from the City of Edmonton, Croy Johnston from Beljan Development, and Nicole Cronkhite from V3.

Panellists: 

Kaelin Koufogiannakis, City of Edmonton

Kaelin Koufogiannakis is a 2020 graduate of the BA in Planning program who currently works as a Planner in the City of Edmonton's Planning Coordination section. She previously worked with the District of West Vancouver and Stantec Consulting on projects ranging from mixed use infill to new statutory plans. She is passionate about shaping sustainable and inclusive communities, active transportation, and child-friendly planning.

Croy Johnston, Beljan Development

Croy is the Urban Strategist at Beljan Development and holds a variety of board positions throughout the Edmonton community. He has a passion for diverse interactions, community involved places, and unique concepts. At Beljan, his primary role is managing preliminary concept and design development, land use approvals/ entitlements of projects, and acquisition due diligence.

Nicole Cronkhite, V3

Nicole is an urban planner with V3 Companies of Canada Ltd. She completed her Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Alberta in April, 2022. She previously worked in Interior Design and Construction Management and holds an Interior design Technology diploma and Bachelor of Technology from NAIT. She was recently appointed to the GEF Seniors Housing Board of Directors by the City of Edmonton’s Mayor and Council.
