Vanessa Reviews Padmanadi
This past Tuesday, the GAPSS executive team went out for dinner at Padmanadi (located at 10740 101 St NW).
This was many of our first times trying Padmanadi! They offer an extensive vegan menu of Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, and Thai cuisines. Personally, I can’t say I’ve visited many vegan-friendly restaurants in the city. However, I definitely recommend trying it out!
The portion sizes were quite large, leaving me both full and with leftovers. The prices were quite reasonable for the amount of food given. I will note that the food + price on the menu only accounts for that dish listed (so if you got a meat dish, you were only receiving meat). If you want a side of rice, prices range from $2.75 - $3.00 depending on which the one you choose (brown, jasmine, or coconut).
Dendeng - $17.95. Ordered and highly rated by VP Planning, Oren!
I ordered the Kung Pao for myself. Despite being cooked in a “mildly spicy” sauce, I was kind of surprised to find that it wasn’t that spicy at all, as most (if not all) Kung Pao dishes I’ve ever had always have been. They do offer many other spicy dishes, though! Nonetheless, it was still very good.
Kung Pao Chicken - $17.95
Overall, I give Padmanadi a 9/10! The staff were very friendly, it was easy to make a reservation, and they have 2 locations in the city (north and south) to make it easier for people to visit.
