Vanessa Reviews CQ Noodles & Bubble Tea
ChongQing Noodle & Bubble Tea (located at 10140 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB) is a small dine-in restaurant on the charming 104 St in downtown Edmonton. Located near many popular establishments within the community, such as Fawkes Coffee, DOSC, and local streetwear shop, Foosh, this location is incredibly convenient for those looking to get acquainted with some of the city's most reputable establishments.
This was my first time trying CQ Noodles & Bubble Tea. I quickly found it on Google after my partner and I decided we wanted to try a new noodle place. Upon entering, I noticed the lanterns that hung above the seating area. They offered an array of colors that opened up the rather small space, giving the room a cozy feeling.
I tried the braised beef noodle soup, whereas my boyfriend tried the noodles with potted meat paste and chickpeas. Both dishes cost $16.99 each. Although I ordered mild heat, I didn’t find the dish to be too spicy, despite being warned that many guests found it to be *super* hot. I guess you could say it was true mild broth, which, in my opinion, was the only downside to this dish. However, although there was spice in the broth, I didn’t find it to be heavy or overwhelmingly salty — an issue I often run into with spicy soups. All the flavours worked well together, and the beef was incredibly tender! For the price point, the dish was incredibly filling. The restaurant also offers free noodle refills, which is super convenient on top of the already fair price.

Service at CQ Noodles & Bubble Tea was quick and friendly! The staff was very kind and encouraged us to try their most popular menu items. It wasn’t too busy (we went in the late afternoon on a Saturday), and it was quite clean.
Aside from the dish not being as spicy as I had hoped, the hospitality and price point of the restaurant made up for it. Overall, I give CQ Noodles & Bubble Tea an 8/10!
