Logan Reviews Tatsu Sushi & Korean BBQ

Tatsu Sushi & Korean BBQ is an all-you-can-eat spot at 10163 109 St NW, in the same building as Greta and The Pint, only a short walk from Corona Station. I went with a group of friends, and we all showed up absolutely starving so we could get our money’s worth. With the mix of sushi and Korean BBQ, it’s a solid choice for groups with picky eaters because everyone can find at least a few things they like!

As for the environment, it was good. I didn’t take pictures of the building or decor because nothing really stood out to me. It was clean and pleasant but nothing special, which is totally fine because the food speaks for itself. You can skip the all-you-can-eat option and order off the regular menu if you’re not super hungry, but we were starving, and of course all-you-can-eat is just WAY more fun. It’s $40 for all you can eat, however you do get charged for leftover food, so don’t order more than you can finish. No take-home boxes!

One person at the table scans the QR code, and then you pass the phone around and order what you want. Each of us picked one item for everyone to share to start things off, and once we clicked order, the food started coming out almost immediately, even though the place was fairly busy. When you order KBBQ items (which come raw), they turn on the grill for you, so there’s no hassle there. The only small downside was that no server ever checked on us. We went through water jugs fast since we were a big group, so we had to go ask the host for refills.

My absolute favourite was the Firecracker Roll (pictured above). It has tempura salmon, avocado, cucumber, and is topped with crispy spicy tuna. All of the fried rolls were amazing too, honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had! We all started with seaweed salad and miso soup, and also really enjoyed the short rib. The food was an easy 10 out of 10, and the overall experience was a 9 out of 10.

If you’re going on a Friday or Saturday, opt for a later dinner and walk over to The Pint after for $3 highballs from 10 to 11. Perfect way to end the night!
