Anjeli Reviews ch. Cafeteria
Came to ch. Cafeteria (14802 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton, AB T5N 3S5) to have a little journal date with a friend to plan for 2026, and our visit made us feel so warm. Found this place based on a beli recommendation, the pictures were so cozy we couldn’t resist. Just look at this one corner.
Things we Tried
Drinks: Dark Hot Chocolate (~$6) and the Matcha-colate (~$7)
Food: coffee mousse (~$7), brownie (~$4-5), dark chocolate with ginger and almond slices (samples!)
The owners/employees were very sweet, patient (we couldn’t decide on what to order), and generous! The options on the drink here are phenomenal if you like chocolate or are craving any. They also have a range of sweet and savoury foods! It cost us just a bit over $20 for the 2 of us combined for a drink and a treat.
We were given a few samples of the selection of chocolates that they have for sale on their walls, the dark chocolate ginger and the almond (I think). They asked us if we preferred milk or dark chocolate and proceeded to sneek into the back to bring us some goodies on the cutest little green ceramic plate. So cute. Their drinks were good, I think if you have a sweet tooth this would definitely hit the spot. Dark hot chocolate was perfect for me because it’s not too sweet, and the (hot) matcha was good too with the balance of the white chocolate and bitterness of the tea. Brownie was ok (it was a brownie). Mousse/pudding? Really good food to nibble on while talking to someone. We stayed for 5 hours, LOL.
I also forgot to mention that you get to choose the type of chocolate they use for some drinks. Yeah. I know right. Love it.
They have tons of products from local businesses inside, including their own. Most of the things on display are for sale, including the paintings on the walls (not pictured). They have varying seating arrangements including the couch, the chairs, higher bar chair style seating, and loveseats. Also, OUTLETS? Lovely. A few people came in to do some work on their laptops, so you know…let’s go study here sometime, hehe.
There’s lots of interesting things to choose from, I would love to come back to try more of their menu! What a shame we were only one of the few visitors that day! Hopefully that’s because of the weather. Please come and visit, it’ll keep the place warmer and pastries fresher! Meet you there!!

PS. I did walk out with a few things that were on display for Christmas gifts! Some coffee beans from Winnipeg, lemongrass soap, and a lot of happiness.
